MAVERICK ENTERPRISES CONTINUES GROWTH AND
INSTALLS AIR POLLUTION CONTROL SYSTEM
Ukiah, California - To accommodate its continued business and production growth, Maverick Enterprises, Inc. is currently in the process of installing a new air pollution control system. Several commercial printing presses are operated at its Ukiah production plant. To control the exhaust emissions from the rotogravure printing press dryers, the company is installing a custom designed air pollution control system manufactured by The CMM Group, LLC, De Pere, WI.
The air pollution control system utilizes a 15,000 SCFM Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO). In operation, the potential air pollutants, commonly known as volatile organic compounds (VOC's), are captured and sent to the oxidizer for destruction. The system is designed to exceed local, state and federal clean air regulations and will be destroying greater than 95% of the VOC emissions generated from the company’s production facility.
Maverick Enterprises prints and manufactures custom designed "capsules" made of laminated aluminum and polyethylene foil. These "capsules" are used to cover the tops of wine, liquor and food bottles. During 2003, Maverick expects to ship nearly 4 million capsules to its customers throughout North and South America. About 95% are made to cover the corks of wine bottles.
