W.D. Hoard and Sons Installs Regenerative
Thermal Oxidizer From The CMM Group, LLC

To achieve greater VOC destruction efficiency and help reduce energy costs, W.D. Hoard and Sons, Fort Atkinson, WI installed a 10,000 SCFM Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer from The CMM Group, LLC, De Pere, WI.

Founded in 1870, W. D. Hoard & Sons is a heatset web printing company that produces commercial and publication printing ranging from magazines, catalogs and brochures to newspaper inserts, calendars and annual reports. The new RTO unit from The CMM Group is designed to destroy VOC emissions generated from three heatset web offset presses the company uses for a wide range of multi-color capabilities.

Previously an older thermal recuperative unit and an older catalytic oxidizer were used to control press emissions. The new Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer from The CMM Group is designed to destroy up to 99% of the VOC emissions generated from the company’s production facility while also reducing the company’s annual natural gas consumption.
