Thermal Recuperative Oxidizers from The CMM Group, LLC are designed to provide environmental compliance by destroying Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs) present in exhaust streams before they are released to the outside atmosphere. With a destruction efficiency in excess of 99%, CMM Group Thermal Recuperative Oxidizers exceed all government clean air requirements.
In operation, CMM Group Thermal Recuperative Oxidizers utilize a shell and tube type heat exchanger to preheat the incoming process exhaust stream. After preheat, the exhaust stream is directed to a gas-fired burner (as may be needed to reach required temperatures) and is thoroughly mixed with oxygen and then held at elevated temperatures from 1,350 to 1,500 degrees Fahrenheit in the combustion chamber. To minimize radiant heat loss, the combustion chamber is insulated with long life ceramic fiber insulation. Typical thermal efficiencies range from 40% to 75%.
