Job Description: Purchasing / Logistics Intern
We are seeking an organized, experienced purchasing / logistics Intern to join our growing team. In this position, you will research and negotiate the best price and quality for our supply needs. You will also coordinate the logistics of outgoing and incoming shipments of products. This position will require you to establish relationships and serve as a representative of the company when negotiating pricing and building vendor and supplier trust as well as track and monitor the delivery and confirmation of all materials and components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers
- Request quotes and compare prices for maximum ROI
- Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases
- Create and maintain value-added relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Create and manage purchase orders in ERP system
- Examine and review products and components to ensure quality
- Track supplier performance metrics (quality, on-time delivery, etc.)
- Prepare commercial shipping documents and bills of lading
- Coordinate shipments with carriers and third party transportation services
- Organize and update database of suppliers, delivery times, invoices, and quantity of supplies
- Analyze potential vendors and suppliers for future project needs
- Ensure all deliveries contain all goods requested
- Monitor tariffs and report on raw material indexes which correlate to cost models
- Collaborate with financial team members on contracts, invoicing, and other financial matters
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent; current enrollment in associate’s or bachelor’s degree program: business administration, management, finance, supply chain or logistics related field preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of purchasing / logistics processes, policies and systems
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
- Experience with use of ERP systems. CMM uses Deltek Costpoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to negotiate, establish, and process contracts
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Accurate and precise attention to detail
- Able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Position is fulltime 40+ hours per week (part-time would be considered for the right candidate)

Job Description: Field Service Representative
As we continue to grow and expand, The CMM Group has an exciting opening for a Field Service Representative responsible for installing, commissioning and servicing our air pollution control equipment including oxidizers, concentrators, heat recovery systems, process equipment including dryers and ovens, and other industrial equipment.
Essential Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Knowledge of burners, fans and thermal systems such as boilers/ovens/air pollution control systems, PLC controls and HMIs, instrumentation
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment, investigate and resolve issues of customer concern
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to give post-commissioning training to the customer on the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the equipment
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects
- Position is full time, 40+ hours per week and overtime eligible
- Candidate must be able to work flexible hours and overtime and manage on-call status
- Must have the ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, and work independently with minimal supervision
- Associate Degree or higher, or equivalent work experience and training in electrical and electro/mechanical fields, with a strong mechanical aptitude
