The CMM Group, a respected supplier of air pollution control and industrial wastewater treatment systems and process equipment such as ovens and energy recovery systems and aftermarket services is seeking a Business Development Engineer to grow our business in process industries including chemical, pharmaceutical and other industrial verticals.

Duties & Responsibilities:

 Market Analysis and Strategy Development

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify opportunities for growth within target industries.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to develop strategic marketing plans.

Product Promotion and Brand Management

  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote our air pollution control and water treatment solutions.
  • Manage the company’s brand image and ensure consistent messaging across all marketing channels.

Lead Generation and Sales Support

  • Generate leads through targeted outreach, networking, and participation in industry events.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales collateral, presentations, and proposals to support the sales process.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry stakeholders, and strategic partners.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and providing customized solutions.

New Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our customer base and revenue streams.
  • Develop and nurture strategic partnerships to drive mutual growth and success.
  • Track key performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and business development efforts.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.

Trade Shows and Advertising

  • Develop integrated sales and marketing plans and budgets for The CMM Group products and services.
  • Manage creation and/or updating of display/print ads, brochures, sales literature, email campaigns, etc.

Digital Marketing

  • Supervise the design, development and maintenance of company websites.
  • Develop a social media and SEO strategy and maintain social media presence.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related technical field. Advanced degree (MBA) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development within the chemical, pharmaceutical and/or process industries.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to understand and communicate complex engineering concepts.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and explore new business opportunities.

Essential Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Ability to take a sketched concept and design a 3D model using SolidWorks to detailed release for fabrication (sheet metal based)
  • Proficient use of software programs, MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), ERP system AutoCAD, planning/scheduling tools
  • Experience in creating drawings from inception to detailed release for fabrication
  • Knowledge of sheet metal and forming/welding
  • Experience in developing a complete and accurate bill of materials
  • Ability to balance high demand & requests from various departments
  • Excellent math skills
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask
  • Good analytical skills in deciphering prints and layouts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Essential Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Understanding of field assembly of industrial equipment desired.
  • Identify local electrical and mechanical contractors in bidding process for quotations of installation scope.
  • Work closely with project management prior to installation to ensure all necessary components, supplies, and labor are onsite for execution.
  • Ability to problem solve and improvise as necessary to meet plan specifications, company quality standards, and deadlines.
  • Ability to operate equipment such as a boom lift, manlift, forklift, etc.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools as needed.
  • Understanding of industrial ductwork design and assembly.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and modify AutoCAD drawings.  (site layout / duct layout)

As we continue to grow and expand, The CMM Group has an exciting opening for a Project / Installation Engineer.  This position is responsible for successful execution of internal and external field projects and involves directing the activities of the design team in close cooperation with the company’s entire supporting cast (processing, purchasing, fabrication, shipping, installation, and service).    This role will assist in the coordination, subcontracting, and supervision and installation of our air pollution control equipment including oxidizers, concentrators, heat recovery systems, process equipment including dryers and ovens, wastewater treatment, and other industrial equipment and supporting field rebuilds.

  • Develop project timeline and identify milestones
  • Understanding of field assembly of industrial equipment desired

Essential Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Design, develop, and supervise all aspects of electrical control systems for industrial equipment
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment such as oxidizers, concentrators, industrial dryers and ovens, burners, fans, industrial controls
  • Ability to write software for PLC’s and microprocessor-based control systems for equipment such as oxidizers and ovens
  • Electrical Engineering Degree is preferred
  • Prefer 3+ years of technical experience working with fans, boilers, dryers/ovens, oxidizers, or other capital equipment
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCad
  • Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Together with Sales and Engineering, review and evaluate new project opportunities
  • Analyze engineering drawings, RFQs, process requirements and incorporate electrical instrumentation and software into the overall equipment design
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve customer specific issues remotely or onsite
  • Prepare cost estimates and technical information
  • Prepare plan for scope of work for electrical functions associated with the project
